The technology consultancy center TCC, KNUST has collaborated with SNV, a Dutch based international Development Organization to organize a training course in the construction and operation of ferro cement charcoal gasifiers.

The training course is scheduled for 9th to 14th of September 2013.

Interested persons are expected to download the application form on the TCC website, and submit to (technologyconsultancycenter@gmail.com) not later than 1st September 2013. The venue is the Applied Industrial Ceramic Laboratory of TCC.

The workshop which was dubbed ‘Biogas as a Social Enterprise in Ghana’ took place at the Technology Consultancy Centre (TCC) KNUST on the 17th of April, 2015. About twenty-five participants from various institutions in Ghana and abroad participated. These include Hogeschool Utrecht, KNUST, SNV, Industrial Ecology, Universiteit Leiden, Institute of Tropical Agriculture, Kumasi and Kumasi Polytechnic.

The Technology Consultancy Centre as part of its objectives in involving the youth in national development has held an orientation session for its 2015 badge of internship students.

A group of students at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) has introduced what they call a cashless microfinance system to support farmers.

The system is facilitated by a device known as the Barter Trade Meter or ‘BT Meter’ that confirms weight and prices of farm produce according to market trends.

The invention was unveiled at a recently- held engineering students design competition in Kumasi, the Ashanti Region capital.

 The Engineering Students’ Design (ESD) Competition is an annual program that aims at empowering Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) students through hands-on skills building.  It helps the students to identify challenges and needs peculiar to communities and develop appropriate innovative technologies to solve them.  The method of the ESD competition is centered around the design process.

The five (5) year Jatropha Project was launched at Walewale in the Northern Region on 6th October, 2009. The purpose of the project was to improve sustainable renewable energy development and to mitigate land degradation effects in rural areas of the Northern Region of Ghana. It was also aimed at creating income generating activities as an integrated approach to ensure sustainable livelihood conditions of residents of the identified underserved communities in Northern Region.

The 3rd West African Clean Energy and Environment Exhibition and Conference, WACEE took place from 10th to 12th February, 2015 at the Accra International Conference Centre in Accra, Ghana. It was held simultaneously as the German Solar Training Week (GSTW) which was from the 9th to 12th February 2015 at the same venue.

Olin College of Engineering joins Technology Consultancy Centre (TCC) to conduct a training workshop on ADE Mini Cassava Grater and Spot Welding at the Suame Intermediate Technology Transfer Unit (ITTU). The workshop witnessed sixteen participants. Among the participants were, Fabricators, Welders, Metal men and Artisans.

The Technology Consultancy Centre (TCC) of Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Kumasi, has partnered with NRD of the University of Sassari in Italy(UoS), Savannah Agricultural Research Institute (SARI), NewEnergy and Ministry of Food and Agriculture (MoFA), all based in Tamale, Northern Region of Ghana, in an EU-sponsored project.
