TCC-CIMET to host 10th African Regional Technology Transfer and Commercialisation forum

The Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) TCC International Centre for Innovation, Manufacturing, Technology Transfer, and Entrepreneurship in collaboration with the African Union Development Agency (AUDA-NEPAD) and Michigan State University (MSU), is set to host the 10th Calestous Juma Executive Dialogue (CJED) from September 30 to October 2, 2024.

The event is organized under the African Academy of Sciences (AAS) and the African Union High-Level Panel on Emerging Technologies (APET).

The forum will be under the theme: “Transfer and Commercialisation of Innovations and Emerging Technologies to enhance Africa’s Industrialisation.”

It aims to strengthen Africa’s science and innovation ecosystem by addressing the challenges facing technology transfer and commercialization across the continent.

Participants from five regions of Africa, alongside international representatives from India and the USA, will engage in discussions on health technology, food security, and artificial intelligence, with a focus on creating sustainable solutions to boost industrialization and economic growth in Africa.

This hybrid event will be open to both in-person and virtual attendees, fostering dialogue, networking, and knowledge-sharing to support Africa’s emerging innovators and researchers.

Key sponsors include AUDA-NEPAD, with funding to support local innovators from the ECOWAS region and Ghana, ensuring diverse participation at the forum.
